Enrique B. Olivares, M.D.

Dr. Enrique B. Olivares is a University of Maryland trained psychiatrist, board certified in Adult Psychiatry and Addiction Medicine. He specializes in treating depression, anxiety, PTSD, trauma issues, schizophrenia, and substance use disorders. During his 23 years of experience, Dr. Olivares has worked at state psychiatric facilities, outpatient mental health centers, as the Chief Psychiatrist for an academic-affiliated medical center as well as being a Medical Director for a nationwide behavioral health company. He utilizes a motivational approach while recognizing that not one-size-fits all when it comes to psychiatric care. He strives to provide the least amount of medication to allow patients enjoy a life the is fulfilling and rewarding. Dr. Olivares strongly supports psychotherapy and encourages his patients to actively participate in therapy. He is also fully bilingual in both English and Spanish.
