Vinyasa Groove – Lizzie subbing

This practice focuses on syncing the breath with a continuous flow of movement. Vinyasa is a strong practice that typically includes sun salutations, standing poses, standing balance, stretches, and basic inversions that benefit the mind and body by building heat, endurance, flexibility, strength, focus, and body awareness. Music changes weekly to produce the “groove.” Beginner and Intermediate level class.
Lizzie King, 200 Yoga Instructor:Lizzie began her yoga practice for the purpose of finding the “zen” and “balance” that everyone associated with it. The practice started slow for her, and the zen and balance didn’t instantly arrive. As she began, her practice was purely physical but over the years it evolved in phases – the need for movement, mindful moments just sitting on the mat, to improve and heal specific body parts, strength, pushing herself to the limits, mind control. Her journey led her to training with Rebecca Sirman Yoga, completing her 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Certification in June 2018. She has a strong belief in creating a life that you love, and crashing through the beliefs that hinder that. With that being said, you can expect her to encourage you to make your practice yours in her classes – taking what you need in that moment. She’ll also encourage you to push yourself to your personal edges to grow, strengthening the body and mind.
