Mindfulness Retreat: Inner Wisdom And Self-Compassion

Do you treat yourself like a good friend? Do you notice how you treat yourself? What do you do when your body, your mind, or your heart yearns for care?

In this retreat, we will blend wisdom from Mindfulness, Self-Compassion, and Nonviolent Communication. We will meditate, journal, and engage in experiential partner activities to explore several facets of being mindful with ourselves, our own needs, our own patterns of treating ourselves. We’ll explore how we can incorporate wisdom and compassion for ourselves into our daily lives. As always, the retreat concludes with a Deep Healing Yoga Nidra, which is a powerful practice that helps softly cement our newfound insights and goals into our minds and hearts.


Hannah Allerdice Bricker (Ph.D., E-RYT 500, YACEP)Trainer in Residence: Hannah has been studying yoga for 18 years and studying with Sri Dharma Mittra for the last 12 years. She is an Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher with Yoga Alliance and has taken her 200, 500, 800, and 1000-hour trainings with Sri Dharma and serves on the teaching staff of Sri Dharma Mittra’s Life of a Yogi Teacher Trainings in New York. Hannah also has been studying and practicing conflict resolution and NVC for 15 years and is currently in the process of becoming a certified NVC trainer.
