Administrative Assistant/Bookkeeper

 The Personal Wellness Center is looking for an administrative assistant with some bookkeeping experience.  The ideal candidate is/has:

 Essential Functions

  • Answer telephone
  • Take messages and handle all clients’ inquiries
  • Set up appointments for clients for desired services
  • Sets clients up in the different services the center provides
  • Performs a variety of bookkeeping tasks such us, bank reconciliation, credit card reconciliation, bank deposit, receives and enters insurance payments
  • Mental health billing (no previous experience needed)
  • Checks insurance payment status as well as member’s benefits and eligibility with insurance company
  • Runs weekly, bi-weekly and monthly reports, such as aging report, sales report, and payroll.
  • Order office supplies as needed.
  • Use Social Media for marketing and connecting with clients
  • Create marketing flyers and e-newsletter

 Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

 Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are  Monday through Thursday from 9 am to 6 pm and Fridays from 8 am to 5 pm. 

 Required Education and Experience

  • High school diploma
  • One year of administrative experience
